Scraptronics CC sells used computers and monitors, with limited warranty. The company was established in 2000 and is based in Sandton, Gauteng.
Specifications and pricing of goods
Specifications of goods shown on this web site may differ from the actual article and are subject to changes without prior notice. All prices are subject to change without notice. All prices exclude VAT, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Scraptronics delivers its products to registered dealers in Gauteng. The delivery is free of charge if the customer purchases goods over certain amount; otherwise, delivery may be subject to a fee. Please contact Scraptronics for current amount.
For distribution nationwide, Scraptronics relies on the services of a courier company. Customers can either use own courier or Scraptronics’. In either instance, the customers are responsible for the full amount of delivery charges. If customers decide to use Scraptronics’ courier, they will be asked to pay the delivery charges in advance, as per the courier’s quotation.
Refunds and Returns Policy
Scraptronics sells used stock as is. There will be no credits nor refunds under any circumstances.
Scraptronics may offer limited warranty. Please check the sticker on the item you bought for warranty expiration date. Items found to be faulty must be brought back to Scraptronics during the warranty period by the client. Scraptronics undertakes to repair such an item.
Warranties are null and void on any goods damaged by lightning or power surges.
Warranties are null and void on any goods returned with physical damage.
Scraptronics does not do on-site service.
Goods returned as faulty must be accompanied by a copy of the original invoice. All goods sold by Scraptronics are scanned and Scraptronics will not attend to any faulty goods without a copy of the original invoice or where such goods do not show on our scanning system as having been purchased from Scraptronics.
While every effort will be made to attend to faulty goods as soon as possible, we regret that no faulty goods will be attended to immediately. A minimum turnaround time of 24 hours with a maximum time of 72 hours will be the general rule. Goods which have to be returned to local or overseas suppliers will take between one week and six weeks to repair or replace.
A minimum charge, which changes from time to time, will be levied on goods returned as faulty, where the fault is found not to have been caused by a product or assembly supplied by Scraptronics or where the fault is caused by software.
Booking of goods
Goods may be booked for registered dealers only. The goods will be kept booked for maximum of seven days since the day of the order.
Items ordered and paid for in full or partially by a customer, as well as items brought in by a customer as faulty, must be collected within three months form the document date (invoice or customers return order). If the items are not collected within three months, they become the property of Scraptronics and will be sold to cover the storage costs.
If the customer comes to collect the goods paid for 30 days after the invoice date, but before the three months have expired, the customer is liable for a storage fee which may not exceed 15% of the invoice value. Scraptronics, at its own discretion, may decide to sell such goods after 30 days from the invoice date and reimburse the customer, after withholding the 15% storage charges.
Deposits left by customers for goods are not refundable. Customer must either make the rest of the payment owing and collect the goods within three months of the deposit date, or forfeit the deposit.
All the information gathered in the online forms on the website is used to personally identify users that subscribe to this service. The information will not be used for anything other that which is stated in the Terms & Conditions of use for this service. None of the information will be sold or made available to anyone.
The Site may collect certain information about your visit, such as the name of the Internet service provider and the Internet Protocol (IP) address through which you access the Internet; the date and time you access the Site; the pages that you access while at the Site and the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our site. This information is used to help improve the Site, analyze trends, and administer the Site.
Scraptronics will not accept bank guaranteed, private or company cheques as payment unless the company has been registered as a dealer with Scraptronics and management approval has been obtained for such payment.
Scraptronics reserves the right to offer limited warranties on any or all of its products or components. It is the responsibility of the customer to ascertain the full terms of the warranty of any product they are purchasing prior to acceptance and / or payment of the goods. Copies of all Scraptronics terms and conditions of sale, returns and warranties are available on request.
Goods remain the property of Scraptronics until fully paid for.
Any items brought into Scraptronics' stock for a client and which are not standard stock items will not under any circumstances be accepted for credit by Scraptronics.
All transactions will be processed in South African Rands (ZAR). No goods will be released until payment has been confirmed as being on Scraptronics’ account.
Customers may currently pay by transferring cash or making electronic (Internet) payments into Scraptronics’ account. Please contact us for our bank details. Customers are requested to fax payment slip with reference number (if any) and their own details clearly stated to 011-608-1970.
Customers wishing to pay by credit card (Visa or Master only) are required to present the credit card in Scraptronics' premises.
Scraptronics will not accept bank guaranteed, private or company cheques as payment.
